The coronavirus is still with us and the restrictions on movement and gatherings look like they will be with us for a while yet. So regrettably our meetings planned for 29 April (Making Our Homes More Efficient) and 26 May (A talk on trees) have been cancelled.
Meetings via ZOOM
However, this does not mean that the discussion has to stop. REG are therefore organising a presentation and discussion via the internet by way of ZOOM. This will be on on Monday 4 May at 8pm. The presentation will be on REG’s response to Rother District Council’s Environmental Strategy Policy consultation. The consultation closes on 18 May and this will be an opportunity for you to review and build on REG’s response before submission. Joining instructions will follow nearer the day but in the meantime if you want to read the draft strategy and make your own comments the consultation can be found at: https://www.rother.gov.uk/consultations/draft-environment-strategy/
REG are also exploring whether other talks can be conducted via ZOOM and whether a film can be shown followed by discussion on-line. In the digital age we may as well make technology work for us in these troubled times.
If you have an idea for an on-line discussion or event that you would like to bring to REG members then we would love to hear from you. Just email REG at: firstname.lastname@example.org
